The Horizontal Ploughshare Mixer is a state-of-the-art single-shaft forced mixing device, ingeniously equipped with multiple sets of ploughshare agitators. These agitators are strategically staggered and continuously installed to ensure there are no mixing dead spots. During operation, these staggered ploughs generate continuous vortex centrifugal forces, causing overlapping and scattering of material flows. This results in a boiling and convective circulation that swiftly and thoroughly mixes the materials.
For cohesive materials such as fibers, damp clumps, or liquid-aggregated powders, the mixer features high-speed choppers installed at a 45-degree downward angle on the side of the mixer drum. These chopper blades extend into the drum, where materials driven by the ploughshares enter the effective range of the choppers, undergoing high-speed shearing for efficient de-agglomeration and separation.
The Horizontal Ploughshare Mixer is adept at handling the mixing of solid powders and granules, and is perfect for batch mixing processes involving the addition of liquids. It finds extensive applications in the food, chemical, and construction materials industries. Notably, it is used in mixing food additives, pre-mixed mortar, composting technology, sludge treatment, rubber and plastics, and specialty construction materials.
