Delve into the mechanics behind the pipe chain conveyor: In horizontal transportation, the chain propels material particles in its movement direction. When the internal friction among the material layers surpasses the friction between the material and the pipe wall, a stable material flow ensues, advancing seamlessly with the chain. In vertical conveying, the chain thrusts material particles upwards, while lower feeding impedes the upper material from sliding. This generates lateral pressure, bolstering the internal friction. When the internal friction exceeds the external friction and the material's own weight, materials are conveyed upwards, creating a continuous flow that epitomizes efficiency.
